Perfectly Lost

by Alexandra Jade Brewer   Jan 7, 2008

As soon as I walk in to a room
You're the first face I look for
Even when I know I won't find you
I am searching as soon as I walk through the door

I had once lost faith
In anything that I couldn't hold on to
But it doesn't matter anymore
Because I can hold on tight to you

I stare deep into your eyes
I get lost in all your feelings
I get lost when you aren't here
When I can't see the love you're concealing

Please don't wake me up
If all of this is a dream
Because if this isn't real love
I would surely scream

The love I feel for you
Will never go away
Our story floating upon a stage
Like that perfect play

With all of the emotions I have
I feel I'm finally defying gravity
But if you weren't around
I'd be stuck in a dark cavity

I never thought I would have the ability
To let go long enough to fall so deep
Deeply in love with everything you are
I took a risk, and made that scarily perfect leap

You have the ability to control all my emotions
And you have erased all of my fears
You send shivers throughout my entire body
When you whisper softly in my ears

I am perfectly lost in this relationship
I am perfectly lost in your arms
I am perfectly lost in this dream come true
I am perfectly lost because of your charms
