Forbidden Fruit

by Packed Satisfaction   Jan 9, 2008

Eat the cake child, it makes you grow tall
So you may leave the world in which you're so small
Listen to allusions and dig for the meaning
So you learn that things often lean not where they're leaning

It's a confusing world, in which to be lost
To be hurt by others, no matter the cost
So you search for solace in the forbidden fruit
And as you take a bite, the thoughts take root

Once again lost within a dark dream
Soon to learn things are not what they seem
New discoveries always lead to false truths
As the fruits are sampled by our country's youths
