Midnight Dance

by Alexandra Jade Brewer   Jan 12, 2008

Fingers slowly intertwine
Under a pale moon
Moving as one
In the distance a loon

The bird adds song
To their midnight dance
Swaying to a hidden rhythm
Locked in loves trance

Nothing around them
But a wide open field
A coyote in the distance
their hearts have been sealed

Finally together
Not needing anymore
They found each other
Above the clouds they soar

They do not surrender
At the light of the sun
He only whispers in her ear
This dance isn't done

Yea, im not sure about the loon part, lol, but its ok, it just makes the rhyming seemed a little forced, but it was still a pretty good poem, 5/5
