Swings

by Miss Kelly   Jan 14, 2008

I closed my eyes gently
quietly I lied there
falling asleep quickly
it went black for a moment
there I was
swinging on a swing
back and fourth I went
my legs went far into the air
my feet flying slightly behind me
back and fourth we swung
moving quickly through the soft breeze
the air blowing over my face
through my long blonde hair
I laughed and smiled
looking next to me at my beautiful mother
her short wavy black hair bounced
her wings flew her through the air
her smile only got bigger and bigger
each and every time I looked at her
her brown eyes were open again
looking back at me
holding my hand tightly
as we both swung at the same pace
happy to see her again
happy to hold her hand again
happy to see her smile
happy to see her large brown eyes
happy to see her happy
because she'sliving her life
in a much better place.
