The Feeling of Happiness

by Miss Megan   Jan 16, 2008

I take a deep breathe and close my eyes,
Forgetting all I don't want to see.
Not wanting to remember what it's like to be me.
But when open my eyes, the memories never fade.
Tell me what I'm supposed to do,
To take the pain away.

Because I've pick myself up to many times to count,
But each time I just fall back down again.
I just want to forget.

Forget all that's happened,
Erase each pain in my past.
I learned a long time ago,
That the good things never last.
I just want to remember,
The feeling of happiness.
So tell me what I'm supposed to do,
To take the pain away.

It's like a disease that has no cure,
Clawing away at my insides.
Always a constant reminder,
Infecting each thought on my mind.

I don't know how much longer,
I can keep up.
Every little thing I do,
Is just never enough.
Just help me forget.

Forget all that's happened,
Erase each pain in my past.
I learned a long time ago,
That the good things never last.
I just want to remember,
The feeling of happiness.
So tell me what I'm supposed to do,
To take the pain away.

I've fallen down again,
My body numb and weak.
I don't know if I can get back up this time,
What's happening to me?

I just want to forget all that's happened,
Erase each pain in my past.
I learned a long time ago,
That the good things never last.
I just want to remember,
The feeling of happiness.
So tell me what I'm supposed to do,
To take the pain away.

Just take the pain away.
