I Quit

by ImTheGirl   Jan 20, 2008

Being with you is like a job
And I'm getting paid minimum wage
My hours are way too long
I'm about to go off in a rage

I'm tired of being on call 24/7
This job seems to be endless
I'm tired of puttting my all and getting nothing
Our relationship seems to be pointless

I'm tired of not getting enough
I need some support too
I'm tired of you not trusting me
After all the shit I do 4 you

I'm beginning to look at different options
Something with more benefits
My heart doesn't want to, but I have no choice
My mind believes this is as good as it gets

I'm filling out applications everywhere
And then I'll choose from the best one
Somewhere where they'll treat me better
Because it's obvious that me and you are done

I'm listing all my best qualities
The ones you use to to ignore
Hopefully I'll be treated fairly elsewhere
And my next relationship won't feel like a chore

It doesn't seem as if you even care
If you do, you have a funny way of showing it
But baby none of that even matters now
Because of the mere fact that I quit

Aw, i really like this one! I love how you compared youre relationship to a job, and i absolulty agree with you, sometimes you do feel you should be paid for what you go through with someone.
