Black And White Lines

by brie kelly wise   Jan 21, 2008

Fourth of July and I'm crying
Whatever happened to Uncle Bobby?
The fight-for-your life soldier
And momma hasn't been home for the weekend in months
We pay our respects to this old earth
Another life lost to another dead birth
I'm trying my hardest not to think about you
I'm another reject to another agency
I lost another lover to another blue eyed girl
I called up daddy down in California
He says he doesn't have room for me in his mansion
I wouldn't bother calling Rachel from the city
She got the respect that she wanted
And I'm just bearing with the fact that momma is gone
I'll forget about my long lost ex
By now he probably made it down to Texas
I'll throw away last week's job interview
And think about tomorrow's bill
Maybe I'll be lucky enough to make it onto the street

I'm going to follow these black and white lines
Until I hit mile marker 222
I'm going to throw everything out the window
Rent a motel, and tomrrow I'll start new
