Gravestone

by Melody of Suffering   Jan 22, 2008

I walk down a long dirt path
Towards a place full of pain
Gravestones surrounded by
Trees, trying to give life to a place
With no life left in it
I walk to a grave, letting tears
Run my make-up
My sadness turns to anger
I scream and yell at the grave stone
"How could you do something like this?!
Are you that stupid?!"
I breath, slowly, in and out, calming myself
I slump down to the freshly dug up dirt
Stare at the words on the cold rock
I say the name out loud
I say it louder and louder
I finally let the tears run dry
I get up and walk down that long dirt path
Away from the grave
With a my own name engraved
