Walk away

by Miranda   Jan 24, 2008

What's happening?
We're drifting apart.
You never call,
and neither do I.
When was the last
time we hung out?
Do you remember?
I knew this would happen.
I would become dull
and you would walk away
without looking back.
If you ever looked back,
you would see pain
and hopelessness.
I try to be exciting
to have fun and laugh.
But on those days
when everything wrong.
I want to talk to you.
But then I think
What if she doesn't care?
What if she doesn't listen?
One part of my mind says
she's your best friend
don't worry,just talk.
But I never get the nerve too.
I just run away.
I want to remain your friend
but it's not working
In about a month
we will pass
in the hall
and you'll keep walking
In a year
You won't even remember
Why does this always happen?
I try to be a good friend
but they always walk away.

Best friends never walk away. I won't walk away from you. Sometimes theirs just circumstances that keep them apart for a bit. But never once does she not worry about her friend in need. You need to open up hun, I will listen, I care.
I want to help you, and I don't want our friendship to drift apart. I had the best summer of my life with you. so many fun times, so many memories.
Honest hun, you don't have to run away, I will listen and I will help. Just let me:)

    An amazing poem.
