One of Those Mornings.

by Brittany   Jan 24, 2008

It was one of those mornings,
Where you wake up,
And think to yourself,
I can't face the world today.

You can't get out of bed,
Your limbs are too heavy,
Or sometimes incredibly light,
You can't move or support yourself,
No one will support you.

I think it's the same day,
You realize no one cares,
And you're going to have to love yourself,
Because no one has the ability,
[Most don't even have the intention],
To stay by your side forever.

So one day you start with nothing,
You lack the power and confidence to pull away the covers,
And you're alone.

The one thing you know is that nothing good is going to happen,
You know you're doomed before the day even begins,
But you crawl to that safety and close your eyes,
Believing tomorrow you'll have the strength.
