Your Summer

by 0BrokenBella0   Jan 25, 2008

I worried about you until yesterday,
And then, last night, you passed away.

I never got to say good-bye,
So all I did was lay and cry.

I grabbed our doll, laid down and cried.
I'll remember yesterday as the day you died.

I know you're in a better place,
And yet, I long to see your face.

I know it was your time, but it's unfair.
I'll never forget your smile, your laugh or your hair.

Mama said I couldn't see you sleep.
She thinks I would be more at ease.

I know you're better off at least.
So may you always rest in peace.
