Nothing lasts

by Rose   Jan 26, 2008

Walking on the shore
Watching the sunset
Wind blowing my hair softly
Feet getting wet.

I look up and stare
At the red, velvet sky.
Clouds drifting away slowly
I let out a big sigh.

Thoughts flow into my head,
A bunch of memories I won't forget
And, also, a lot of things
That I tend to regret

Lots of things have changed
Time has passed by so fast
I've finally learned that,
Nothing lasts . . .

    It's short
    You reach your point quickly
And you choose your words in such a way every reader can comprehend what you are talking about. Nothing Lasts I can feel it in this poem.
