Don't Worry About Me

by WaskA21   Jan 27, 2008

"I was finally in that place that i always dreamed of being,
though it cannot be erased i knew that it was coming.
I just hope you know that you left me broken-hearted,
and now all thats left are the memories I've discarded.
I took it all so real and thought there was something there,
but now I know theres not and you've shown that you don't care.
Don't worry about me, theres nothing left to break.
I tried for this long and more I cannot take.
This hole that you have left can be filled by nothing else,
because nothing can fix the pain and misery that I've felt.
I poured my heart and soul into you and into us,
but never recognized that it wasn't worth the fuss.
I didn't get upset that it was over so fast,
I was just upset because you promised it would last.
Don't worry about me, theres nothing left to break.
I tried for this long and more I cannot take.
This hole that you have left can be filled by nothing else,
because nothing can fix the pain and misery that I've felt.
This poem's not trying to make you feel any guilt,
It's just trying to fix all the sorrow that I've felt.
I know this is cheesy and you probably don't care,
but this is how I feel and it's never going to wear.
So I leave you with a new thought and I hope you think it through:
I love you with all my heart and there's nothing i can do..."
