Broken wings

Some time ago u meant more than everything to me
In the entire world.
And now you are the last one I wanna see
In the damn entire world.
The person you turned out to be
So different from what I thought.

Now that I'm alone and completely broken
How cold can be the air!
So many days, so many weeks have passed since I stopped hoping
We'd make a perfect pair.
When someone kills your heart which you left open
The world seems violently unfair.

Now I'm just sitting here holding my broken wings
And don't know who to blame
Now it doesn't matter what the future brings
Except for disappointment and dismay
Because my soul is dead if it doesn't sing.
No way.
