Razor Blade Angel

Shining Angel of the Night
I now feel your gentle touch
In me you will find no fight
Accepting you grace from now on

Rising to greet and bow low
Your deed is made simple
For many sins, I have to show
One of which I am proud

I know you, Angel, do not come easily
So I made sure I did everything right
Just praying would not have brought you to me
But this final ritual was worth the glimpse

My faith was lost long ago in hate
And I did not believe God could heal
But this proves my wrongs and changes fate
To end the first and begin the second

I remember all the way back then
How I cursed and was not punnished
I thought God missed my sin
I thought I was was my own savior

But that was far from here
You sober the most intoxicated
And bring, to the proud, fear
I love your beauty at last

Glowing golden in heavens light
Wings spread in such magnificent fashion
Flowing grace so strong and bright
You bring a moments peace to me before eternity

I will fondly think back on this time
I spent with and Angel so kind
And how lovingly you looked at this grime
Before you, just once, touched me... once

The touch of The Angel of Death
Kind, Beautiful, Glorious, Fleeting
Played out like I am a myth
At the edge of razor blade
