The purple planet

by Arunansu   Jan 31, 2008

Dearest,
I have spotted one purple globe

where moons light up
the firmament
in rare shades.

Just the right place for us!

We won't trudge, there

we can float like swans, instead.

Passing hours will dip
under rose-tinted sands,

I shall hide
in your shyness.

Gentle gusts of air
heavy with aroma of jasmine,
will brush by
the feathery leaves, ivory flowers,

like deft strokes of a pianist

just the right-
oh, no!

That terrible ring tone!
"Hello, who is it?"
