Born Unto An Angel, The Untold Story

by Enya   Feb 1, 2008

Walk...
Through evergreen trees I pass
With remarkable grace.
The giant children
Of Mother-Nature and Father-Time
Sing beautiful prayers
Into the evening sky...
I carry on.

Admire...
Between me and my destination
Lies a peaceful river of a gorgeous pallid blue.
I smile, It smiles back.
I skim my pale fingers across it's platinum surface
Intrigued by it's seductive allure...
And I carry on.

Respect...
On my journey
A black bear of such enormity
As I have never seen before
Slowly starts my way,
Our paths unmistakably intertwined.
We inhale, and hold.
Pause.
I bow, he acknowledges.
And I carry on.

Lost...
As stars and moon
Arise from their slumber
I find myself still stumbling along the path I seek.
Neither friend nor foe can help me now.
As my mind flees from common sense,
My heart holds fast and my heart stays true.
Suddenly, I am overcome with a courage that,
Until now, I did not know that I possessed.
So I carry on.

Sought...
Upon dark terrain and
Below darker sky,
Desperately,
I search for that of which I am bound.
Though terrified
I stand my ground.
All fears put aside,
Dedication and devotion
Sustain me.
Devoid of weakness,
I carry on.

Found...
It is now clear to me,
That my journey is presently coming to an end.
My jaw drops in amazement and awe
It's all over,
It's finally over.
I sink to my knees
Affront golden gates
And dawning sun...

I do not carry on, at least, not quite yet.

Remember;...
Throughout my journey on the path of life,
There have been many road blocks along the way.
And each one holds captive a small piece of my heart,
As well as my wrists.
However...

I am finally free, I am finally free.
Oh glorious freedom.
Those crimson cuts...
Those scars of steel...
All perfectly aligned,
Begin to slowly vanish right before my eyes.

No more will I stroll upon the path of life,
As I have known it.
Though, I find myself being steadily consumed
By the blinding glow of golden light.

A new day awaits those still on the path.
But, I find myself on a new path now...
And I carry on.
