Underneath the Mistletoe

by Jordan   Feb 1, 2008

Underneath the mistletoe,
On a cold Christmas night,
Kissing you so softly,
It just seemed right.

As the night ripens near,
I whisper in your ear:
"I'll never leave with out you,
I'll never leave you short,
I'll take you everywhere I go,
You'll never be forlorn.

I'll stay on time,
As the clock ticks us for a ride,
I'm making up this rhyme,
To tell you I'll always be by your side.

Time and time again,
We may fight,
But then amend,
Because you're my true best friend.

I'll hold you while we're warm in bed,
I'm happy at the life we led.
Come on babe, let's go upstairs,
As we have done for many years."

As we head up the flight,
Getting ready for the cold winter night.
Feeling so tired and ready to sleep,
As we'll probably fall in an exhausted heap.

As we lay close we say our good night phrase,
I say she glows,
Like the sun's rays.
I pull the blanket up,
We cuddle in tight,
A long night ahead,
I love you, Goodnight.
