Sheltered

by Jordan   Feb 16, 2008

If a heart can mend itself,
Can steel bend itself?
Are relationships always going to be true?
Will cobalt always be the color blue?

Questioning the world around,
If a tree falls,
Does it make a sound?
What is up with just losing a pound?

Why can't people go back on a choice?
How come people don't want to hear each others' voice?
What makes a perfect person?
What makes us care so much for them?

Sheltered behind a cold metal door,
Why are people such a bore?
Why do people judge by race?
Can't people tell by their taste?

Why are girls obsessed about shoes?
Don't people know they have nothing to lose?
Why do people break the law?
Can't people see that smoking is a flaw?

Can a person ever change?
Will a life ever be rearranged?
Why make fun of the slow?
Only God knows when you'll be let go.

Why do people stop eating?
How can some never stop feeding?
Can a president ever be dumber?
Will things be all right in the summer?

Why can't people be there self?
Why do people have to act different around someone else?
Hidden behind the curtains,
Ignorance is for certain.

Wanting to know how things will be,
Wanting answers for people to see,
If a heart can mend itself,
I want to know for myself.
