Waiting to Breathe

by Jordan   Jan 26, 2008

I've been waiting a long time,
For you to come,
I've been waiting a long time,
For the waiting is almost done.

For the legends have passed,
Marley, Mercury, and Lennon,
For the dream to be born again,
For the dream to be born again.

Like a diamond in the rough,
Like it's structure,
You've got to stay tough,
Unlike that most have to mature,
For the dream to be born again,
For the waiting,
I'm almost done.

I've been longing for a taste,
Just a piece,
That is the reason I breathe.

Time is ticking by,
As it flies,
The hours seem to lie,
I'm trying to see what's ahead of me,
So I've been longing for a taste,
For the dream to begin,
That's the reason I breathe,
But for the waiting I'm almost done.

When I stare at my reflection,
That's a good detection,
Of what's real and fake,
Am I making a mistake?

It seemed like yesterday,
I was starting school,
I though that that was cool,
I wanted to grow up,
But I was a fool,
Because being young is the best that it can be.

The parents split,
The unconscious fits,
I couldn't help it,
I just wanted one house,
Is that too much to ask?,
So Im taking off my mask.

But I was chasing a dream,
To be the greatest,
Musician there would ever be.

I waiting's almost over,
I can almost see it,
Almost feel it, touch it, taste it.
I now know I don't want to erase it,
I asked for all of this,
And I couldn't be happier,
'cause now I'm free,
For who I really want to be.

The time's ticking slowly,
For the shows; I'm getting more,
The dream has begun,
And I can breathe again,
Now the waiting's all but done.
