Crying Child

by Kelsey   Feb 1, 2008

The little girl sits on the slide alone
A tear trickles onto the gravel
Her dreams wondered to a new, unknown place
She sits alone long after everyone has gone home
Tears rolling down her cheeks and neck
Not wanting to go home to screaming parents
Nowhere else to go, nowhere to hide.
She curls up with just herself to keep warm.
The rain starts to pour down as she begins to cry again,
The cold night sky doesn't let up for anything.
She sits soaking as the sun begins to rise.
Her stomach begins to growl as she crys more
But being five doesn't give much chance at life alone.
