15 Minutes Of Fame

by MadisonMetamorphosis   Feb 4, 2008

I never though I could get this far,
I never knew I had the stuff.
I thought I was just stuck in a dream,
I guess my dream was good enough.

I'm just a teenager,
almost the age of 14.
With nothing on heart or mind,
besides the need to succeed.

I am beyond proud of my work,
I didn't soon expect a revelation.
Then I was asked to join a poetic contest,
This has gone past even my wildest imagination.

I know god is blessing me,
I would never normaly have this chance.
At first I couldn't believe my eyes,
But that's the beauty of second glance.

I titled this 15 Minutes Of Fame because everyone has atleast 15 minutes of fame in their life, some people have more, but everyone has atleast 15 minutes. I was asked to be a part of a poem contest, a big one, and within that 15 minutes I wrote this poem. That was my 15 Minutes of Fame.
