We're losing you.

by Kate Hicks   Feb 4, 2008

I see you here now
You have changed so in my eyes
But your heart's still true

Your body is breaking
But your mind still stays as sharp
This is hurting me

It is taking you
Far away from life it seems
You're still in our hearts

I love you Mum
You'll always be here with us
You're still here with me

The blood of a poets broken heart shows up well on the white page with words that show the cracks and depths of that wounded heart. Keep up the good works.

I'm always making these mistakes. I'm Dysllexic and can't spell for the life of me.

Kate, There is such sadness here expressed but shining through is also a strength and a resolve that only true love can give.
P.S. Try using 'Losing' in the title, that might work better.

Before i read this poem, i was going to ask what inspired you to write the others, but i think i can understand this one. and maybe now i know about the others. no words i can say will help but i am here if needed.
