True friends

by keithnwv   Feb 5, 2008

I've long since grown
I'm a family man
i work real hard
thats societies plan

I'm not rich
but i can provide
I try to help others
get thru lifes ride

I do what i should
so why all the pain
I'm empty inside
Is it all in vain?

the hurt that i feel
just won't go away
my heart breaks more
each and every day

I'm thankful for those
whose kind words they share
I'm learning true friends
are a blessing so rare

Your poets heart unfurls itself willingly and lends its words to us to float and drift among our own words. Good work, I enjoyed your poem and look forward to more.

yes true!! but even one is enough for you to keep struggling in this life and don't forget that your family members can be your most true friend
