Birthday wish

The hands of time have turned and turned
Many years I have missed
To make it up, I write for you
This special birthday wish

I wish for you a life of joy
Full of laughter and of cheer
May friends and family that you love
Always hold you near

I wish that you will always know
That special place in my heart
Just for you, my dearest friend
I pray you never will depart

I'm no poet as you can tell
Just a simple man trying to say
My sweetest friend, I love you and
I wish you a very Happy Birthday
