A Mommas Cries

by Jes Miller   Feb 7, 2008

The sun shines,
The birds sing,
Tress fly by with every turn of the wheel.

The teen ages child talks to her mother,
Tell her mom her thoughts,
And she shares her feelings.

Laughter filled the silence,
Her smile shines brighter then the brightest star,
Her eyes glowing like a candle in the dark.

A loud squeal rang in their ears,
The world seems dark,
Cold,
Empty.

Her mother looks at her daughter,
Her smiles is as dark as dirt,
Her eyes are as closed as a shut door.

The un fades behind the cold dark clouds,
Her momma’s cries matches the drops of the rain hitting against the shattered windshield.

No more laughter,
No more thoughts,
No more feelings.

For her daughter is gone,
But one day,
She will see her daughter again.
