I fell for a man whose words meant nothing ,
and will never know why he said the things he did...

It began when i was feeling lonely ,
the writing of poems that is...

I am a fool and some may even say I am thick ,
for yes I have a comfortable life...

I am trying to make things work ,
but its hard because my feelings are for someone...

No matter how hard I try ,
forgetting I just can't do...

I broke down and cried today ,
simply because I've had enough...

How long do you keep giving things a go ? ,
and hoping that once again your feelings might...

I don't love you anymore ,
but I do care thats for sure...

I always knew the day had to come ,
my eldest son wanting to meet his real dad...

I know your hurting,
and cry is all you want to do...

I've been with my partner for 12 years ,
in that time theres been good and bad...
