Cindy

I am posting this and asking for lots of prayers for Cindy. She had to return to the hospital and this message was just posted in our club by her son. Thank you for those prayers and we need lots of them.

My mother is not doing well. her condition has turned for the worst. she is very lethergic and tired at the moment. she has a pretty rare infection i believe the bug is called klebiesella. keep her in your prayers everyone and thank you from the bottom of my heart.... ben thompson

You're always in my thoughts, I know you'll pull through this as you always have...you're one of the strongest people this site has I think. I have lots of faith in you, hopefully things turn around soon for you..

Cindy's condition has worsened. she is in renal failure. they think maybe if they can kill the infection her kidney's may return to a wokring state as they were before the infection. she says to tell you all you are in her thoughts as well..she needs our prayers now more than ever..thank you all and God bless....ben thompson...aka johnny cindy's son...

Hello my dear friends..I talked with her today. She sounded weak, but was very alert. She has some difficult procedures to go thru, but with her strength, our prayers, and Gods hands...she can do this..She sends everyone her love..

My dear friends, I finally talked to Cindy about 5 this evening. She still sounds weak, but is coherant. She is in a lot of pain and very ill. I am so proud of all my poetry family pulling together in prayer..she sends her love to each of you...

Talked with Cindy. She very medicated with pain meds, so I called her mom. She said the meds they put her own "jump started her kidneys"!! Now if they can wean her off after the antibiotics start working without them failing again..this the best news I've heard in days..our prayers are working!!

Woo, great news! Keep healing, Cindy. You're gonna pull through this. Much love from me to you :)

She is such a strong lady and such an inspiration!

Thoughts and prayers are with her and all her family

Rob called the ICU today and a strange lady answered the phone which probably means that Cindy is in a regular room and the hospital won't give that info out unless it's family. As soon as I hear anything else, will let everyone know. In the meantime, keep those prayers going.

Hi dear friends..talked with Cindy and Debbylyn, her sister..Her kidneys are functioning on their own..her white blood count is back to almost normal...she sounded lots better..not well, but so much better..thanks to everyone for their prayers and/or hopes...thank you God...

I am so glad to hear that , she is a fighter! Thank God for that.

I got an update this morning from Rob:

I just talked with Cindy and her mother. They are transferring her to a hospice for a week to 10 days. They want her to be able to receive ivs until this infection is completely gone..

Actually they are transferring her to Specialty Hospital for long term care...meaning a hospital setting...not as intense as a regular hospital...but for more care than she can receive at home...probably for 2 weeks...maybe more...they sent her home on ivs last time, but she developed an additional infection not responsive to the therapy she was receiving...will keep you posted

I just talked to Cindy. She is in the new hospital and getting settled. She will be there about 2 weeks so they can treat that infection. She said she is in pain, not as bad as before. She sounded weak but yet strong. She sends her love to all and of course she misses everyone. Keep the prayers going and she will be home before you know it.

Since PR members could not visit Cindy in person, we are going to start mailing cards to her. If anyone would like the address to send a card or letter, please send me a PM and I can give it to you.

You guys are being soooo supportive! I'm sure Cindy appreciates the love tremendously :)

She is getting some stronger, still on the meds and they have made her somewhat sick to her stomach. I will see if Rob has heard from her today.

She's improving everyday and may be home by next week.

I talked to Cindy this morning and there is a good possibility that she will get home by the weekend. She sounded really strong and says she is doing good. She wanted me to thank those of you who sent cards to her, it lifted her spirits. She was even joking around with me so that is a good sign. She also said she is ready to get back to the club when she gets home, bored out of her mind with puzzles. Keep the prayers going.
