MM was the first off the mark with skill and precision, but were quickly overtaken by TC, whose typical taste for blood doesn't seem quenchable tonight, setting a high standard. But hang on LTFR has cast some beauties racing ahead, while FOP has started to stir some magic. WTMRIS and PR have yet to wake up....

A scoring update will take place in a few hours.

Master scoreboard has been updated, individual club scoreboards will be updated next. Here, scores of less than 5 denote penalised poems which did not adhere to the theme of the round and cost valuable points to the team.

MM was the first to race ahead and complete the first lap and are well into their second. TC has just completed their first lap and the others are not far behind.

(MODERATORS: please check these club threads. WTMNIS has a few posts that need to be deleted.)

A major part of this contest was all about clubs coming together, emerging, and fighting on the main battlefield.
HOWEVER, clubs now have a tough decision to make. What is more important to you: having a cohesive, all-inclusive team that are there for each other OR.... VICTORY?
Here is a chance for every club to make it easier for themselves: You can decrease the number of rounds each member must wait until it is their turn again.
But it comes at a cost: You must sacrifice members of your team...oh...

To decrease your club's wait number by ONE ROUND, you must ELIMINATE FOUR MEMBERS from your team.

You can further decrease your wait number by eliminating a further three players per round.

If club leaders wish to massacre members of their own club, they must list these poor, beheaded members in their club's special thread for all to behold.

HOWEVER, all clubs must finish their current lap with the original wait number. Any changes can only start taking place within the next lap (this includes continuation from the previous lap).

Make your decisions now. Does your guillotine need to be sharpened?

Noice. I don't think TC has that option, but I'm confident that if we did, we would all be safe. I'm pretty sure that vision I saw of Jane sharpening a katana was just an illusion.

Edit: Does WTMNIS still need editing? I couldn't find any extraneous posts.

Oh, TC does have that option. If you have a 2-member team, you'd only need to wait 1 round. Jane has a stunning collection of sharp objects.

I am sorry we have to withdraw, for two reasons, the first one is that our team is 8 members and we should wait 4 rounds. And that is really difficult for us, sadly, we can't make it this way, the second reason is I'd never want to continue while half of my team is eliminated, I want us all to be one hand and obviously this won't work in this contest.

I'm sorry, we won't be able to make it.

FOP has 8 poets (or actually 6 somewhat active ones) and has to wait 6 rounds, lol. We are slow but the club is having fun, or at least I hope so. =p

Yes, but we are always left behind and I don't want my club to feel disappointed when they don't win, I don't know, but I don't think we will make it till the end, we finished about 6 laps in our club thread but here we are not able to organize things. :-/

I think my club would already be happy if we'd be able to finish 3 more laps. =p

I guess you should do whatever you feel like doing, but make sure to discuss it with your club members ... perhaps they don't want to stop at all. Besides, the contest will now last for 1 day less. :) Less stress.

I don't know, I didn't actually discuss it with my club members because I already know they will tell me to not give up and such and I don't want to let them down :-/

MM and TC are posting a lot now, but what happens when we get bored and burnt out, and all the other teams lap us both? Keep at it, if anything it's fun ;)
