I was checking out poems by Mark Spencer and it says the guy joined 2004 and has over 3000 votes. Doesnt seem to me like a new guy or one who needs encouraging votes and comments from us.

Paul you have a poem with 30 comments on it. I would say you're doing just fine. ;)

I got my work noticed by reading others poems and being active on the boards. It wasn't difficult.

Yeah I get what u mean britt but in the beginning it was hard for me an kinda still is but I have my close friends that comment so it's good :D

This guy has about 47 comments but from his work, he deserves more than that. He needs comments from matured poets like you guys. I hope you consider him.

I guess my point is, is if these members aren't being active other than posting poems and leaving, I don't really care to waste my time. That probably sounds rude.

I agree, Britt, but sometimes, there are poems worth the read and YOU yourself you will feel inspired and happy after reading it, and you may show it to your friends, so in my opinion, it is an advantage to search for good poets over here even if they aren't active! :)

As for commenting, well, I love to leave my comments here and there actually....so I leave comments. :)

I do that all the time, ask my club. If I find a poem that's just wow to me, I tell them. But if the people aren't an active part of the site, its kinda pointless seeming.

U have asked a great question and I didnot realize mistakes when reading for I really thought it to be great and you are very right but then again I probably did not realize much because I'm not so great at all that grammar an stuff,,I usually write down whatever and pretty much what I feel.
I really loved her poem though and just said and did what I saw and apparently through the flaws but I'm sure it made her day. If you would like could maybe tell her bout her flaws givin I can't see all,,if not I'm sure I can mention them but I cannot explain fully.

This is to recognize unnoticed poets good or bad it's a matter of opinion, wouldn't hurt to comment truthfully and give some suggests Like maybe "watch grammar etc. No one was perfect starting out. It's snobbish to over look someone instead of helping
