Patrick..a guy that had more than 15 minutes of fame..beautiful lyrics. In this life, I have learned many things. As for ladies we love..the loves of our life. Some are lucky enough to marry them..others just have memories to hold, but the one thing any man truly in love knows..is that she is his "everything". God bless you all this night until tomorrow! |

Lioness, couldn't agree more. I'm a big Patrick fan, he had me at Dirty Dancing... one of my favorite movies of all time. What a babe. So sad he's gone. |

Edited out Stay or Leave by Dave Matthews Band. It's a beautiful song, but I'd rather post this one. It reminds me of two things: The first is my dad. The second is sitting on the back of a train in the middle of the night headed to Sydney (Oz) after quitting my polo job in Goulburn. |

Rosaura & my favorite dance hall, Whiskey River, has Steve Earl's Copperhead Road as its anthem. <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttitN75ESvY&feature=related> |

Larry, I was just about to mention Galway Girl. Such a beautiful song. Have you ever heard the version that's sung in Irish? I learned a bit of it when I studied the language. |

I have a particular affinity for The Galway Girl, since my dad married one. |

Galway is beautiful. Rosaura & I toured it back in 1996 & met some of the family. Saw the countryside where mom grew up in Tuam. Lots of sheep! |

First a WARNING.."Graphic Lyrics"..just thought you might want to see how many fringes there are of music today. This is a country rock version of this song. It was done by the Louvin Brothers and many other blue grass artists. I've researched it and was told it was taken from an Irish ballad called the "The Wexford Girl". It's about a girl with a "roamin eye", which I guess means she cheated. Hardly a reason to kill her though.. |

When I was backpacking through Vietnam, I paid a guy to take me on a 2 day trip on the back of his motorcycle and he could barely speak any English... but he knew all the words to Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You! And by the end of the trip, so did I :) |

A hauntingly beautiful composition. Dedicated by Ludwig van Beethoven to his pupil Countess Giulietta Guicciardi. At times you don't need words. |
