I had to look back in my iTunes for some references. I didn't have a computer when I was 17, so I can't check that, but apparently when I was 18 I was listening to a lot of Lorie Line covers of Disney songs. Hahaha! I haven't gotten much cooler since that.

I have never, ever been a "cool music person." The first CD I bought was Christina Aguilera's "Genie in a Bottle." At a 5th grade sleepover, I was all "Who is Britney Spears?" I owned the Creed CD, for goodness sake.

Omggg 17 was the crappiest age for me...got lost in clubs, boys and alcohol after my parents split and grandma died.

I listened to stupid crap....kesha- tic toc..usher- make love in the club, and my all time favorite- bedrock...hahahahha I was a hot mess....and live in a "mini detroit"...getting more and more ghetto which influenced the music I listened to..but then I was like what the hell am I doing ?

I'm all about the country life now. Nothing but Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Willie Nelson, George Strait...this is my heart and soul I would be miserable without country music.

When I was 17 I was a huge Radiohead fan, specifically the album "The Bends". I "thought" it was the album of my generation, the voice of the uk youth. Nirvana was amazing, but they were American and quite alien to me in a cultural reference kinda way.

^Ive read something about the "Backstreet Boys" up there(by sibyllene), well, I dont know, compared to the newer "music", some of the overhyped songs with less or no musicality and some with lyrics which a 5 year old could do better. I think Id take the Backstreet Boys anytime. (Im not giving some examples here cause baby baby oh theyll hate me if I do). ;)
