The mod team is saddened to announce the retirement of a moderator.

After many dedicated years to PnQ Sherry has decided to step down. With this announcement the mod team would like to send Sherry many thanks for her long running contribution to the site.

Sherry asked us to start phasing her out months ago. It's one of the reasons we decided to bring in Colm. The reason she's still around is that she has some extra mod powers, and we wanted to make sure with Janis that we wouldn't lose those tools and that information if her account were demoted.

She also pops in from time to time to make sure things are running smoothly and we are able to contact her if needed. Sherry has been a great asset to the site and we are happy to announce that she will be continuing on as a member.

It has been a pleasure working with you, Sher.

For all Sher's outstanding contributions, I find it fitting the lyrics of Journey's "Oh Sherry".

I want you to know that it was a struggle to come to this decision; however, there are things in my life that I am dedicated to and they appear to be taking up more and more of my time, in a good way.

And, yes, we finally have EVERYONE healthy for once, Praise God!!! As of today there are no surgeries planned in the future for either me or my children!!!

Sherry, let me take this opportunity to tell you how sentimental I am about you :)

You've been possibly THE most steadfast, stalwart, and committed moderator PnQ has seen, even with diminished activity over time (which is the natural order of things).

I've lost track of the many years you dedicated to the job, but I associate you with moderatorship, and I associate moderatorship with you.
Whether standing with majority or against it, you remain strong in your opinions, but flexible; passionate, but reasonable. I have respected the knowledge and experience you offered the ever-changing mod team, always without arrogance, but with pride in the job; without condescension, but with a motherly attitude toward us.
You are an emblem of what moderators should strive to be. You are honorable, nurturing, and dedicated... as a moderator, and from what I can tell, as a person.
Your request to be demoted is a final tribute to these qualities (although we don't want you to go!).

Thanks for sticking it out so long. I guess it's time to sit back and relax, maybe let the newbies screw things up for awhile haha.
