Club Battle?

I am going to create the posts now, for each team. But I will edit them in the morning and add the prompts into them.

PLEASE DO NOT POST IN THE THREADS UNTIL THE TIME STATED, WHICH WILL BE TOMORROW.

I will make the time 8am UK time. Until Friday night 8pm (Uk time) But to clarify times I will post the word GO onto each thread at 8am. Poems entered before my word GO, will not be counted.

Narph you can join M&M's.... Then all teams have 5 people!

Princess - Fop already has 5 members. So I will make the teams even this time. Then next time, it will simply be club to club, regardless of numbers. :)

So much for everyone thinking it was impossible to get to 100 poems in days!! We have just about got there in 1 day!!

I don't think FOP can ever write another poem after the 100..

Trust me, we thought it was impossible too. Around 40, I started joking to myself about it, telling myself that the pace was bound to die out, but no, certainly doesn't seem like it!

I think it should be kept going even after though, if nothing else because of us in FOP having an unfair advantage regarding time zones, LOL.

I will leave it running then until Friday. And the winner will simply be the club with the most poems. This way M&M's might be able to get started.

I think all clubs will battle with time differences, but it is all still fun and it helps newer writers learn to write on the spot from prompts!

Somehow, I predict us in FOP having a writer's block for the coming six months. I'd be surprised if the urge to keep going past 100 is here, lol.

Well you 2 are from the same club and saying different lol... so which one is it?? 100 - or by Friday???

I didn't actually mean us continuing, I meant in general, as in not shutting the competition down entirely. If we assume the ceiling is hit tonight, it's so far away from the deadline that it's reasonable for the runner-ups to keep going, since we kind-of just rushed ahead out of nowhere.

Assuming we don't die out of fatigue before the coming 20 remaining poems are out, yes, that's what I think!

But we're still 20 short, so it's not impossible that we literally die out of fatigue before reaching the end.

I actually don't know what the original intent of this competition was? I simply started writing lol. Do keep in mind that, if the original intent was to reach a hundred posts, we have some error-posts in our thread due to double-posting. o.O

On a side note, if it was to see who would clear 100 prompts first, I think it's a bit unfair since most of our members had some advantage in the time difference. :P Perhaps the amount of hours needed to clear 100 prompts should be calculated.

It was to get us writing, I think? If it was, it certainly worked for us anyway.

But the intent was 100 poems, but we're keeping count! Almost there!

The original intent was first club to 100 poems, over 4 days, but everyone thought that would be impossible and too much! Ha! So I then suggested the club with the most poems by the end of the 4 days, would win.

But I am going to stick with the 100 post as that was the original plan.

My ultimate goal??? I just wanted people to be active and take part... mwah ha ha :)

We actually did it. That's crazy. Even more so due to the fact that 98 of said poems were written and posted within the time limit of 7 hours. Jesus Christ, our club is full of mad people!

I logged on yesterday morning as soon as I was free & saw LTFR battle thread at "102"!!!!

Lol Larry thank you :) when I signed up I was playing to win! :) but we got 2nd but that's alright :) this was fun :) and I got some great poetry out of it :)

Congrats to the 2 winning teams.

The poetry out of this was amazing. I will try to catch up with as many as I can. There were few that stood out to me.

I am surprised the site never broke down with all the activity ;)
