The funny thing is that this is a topic that centres around the American community.

I think these things are such sensitive issues in the new land is because every community is jostling for position, almost growing up too fast. Remember that the US is a country where people are raising every possible ethical issue at the same time, where Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East have had millenia to learn these things.

When you have little history to uphold you'll inevitably see people defending and opposing issues that were dealt with a long time ago by many, many civilizations already.

The United States of America is still trying to find its identity. Because of this and the internet the topics that are new there are being relived around the world.

The point is that somehow the girl got pregnant, now she has to deal with it. If she got raped, that is very sad and if she is not ready to be a mother that is okay, but she shouldn't stop someone else from living for that. That is why there is adoptions! My two younger sibbles are adopted into my family. Someone said "You ever think the baby would want to choose to die instead of being born into a place where it cant be taken care of?" Answer is no, because there are other places the baby can go besides with the mother that can provide for him/her. Fact: there are twice as many couples that can't have babies and want one than there are abortions ever year meaning . . . all those aborted babies can go to a family who wants them. Many people say the would feel bad about sending their child to a different family to be raised, you know that the kid might not feel loved or something. So here's the question . . . how loving is killing th kid before he/she has a chance to create those hopes and dreams and life that we already have. If you don't want a child for whatever reason, then that is your decision, so don't keep the child, give the child to someone who will love him/her. Some poeple say they weren't ready to be pregnant and they don't want to bother with the pregnancy, they rather just get rid of the baby. I ask you, are you honestly that selfish that you would be so conerned about your own life that you wouldn't be willing to spend nine months of your life, to save somone elses. Yes, there are a very few women who might die if the have the baby, so in their cases that is up to the mother and the family. I can go on about this for hours, I am very passionate about it, so I guess I will stop here. I doubt too many people are reading anyway. I mean just think about it, if you were that baby, wouldn't you have wanted people to be pro-life for you? Picture your friends and family, your lovers, ect. . . what if they were never born because they were just another aborted baby. Maybe the baby doesn't have rights, or feelings, or trust, or what have you at the time, but when you kill that baby you forbidding that child to ever have those privllages because you are ending him/her life before they get the chance.

The simple fact is if they took away abortions it would be chaos. women going to back door abotionists, throwing themselves down stairs, commiting suicide, is that the world you want to live in?The life of the mother is more important then the life of a fetus (which isnt even born yet!!!)

Abortion is not right for me personally and I would never utilise the service.

Would I fight to the death for other women to have the option and not make judgement on them because of there choice? Yes 110%

Its not right for me, but its not a hard decision for any woman to make, and those that do have my respect because I know its a matter of the heart and such decisions have not been made lightly...

GOD is in control. I have a daughter...so your question makes me think twice. If she were to get raped who knows what I would want...NOBODY does til they re put in the position. I would PRAY...EXACTLY WHAT I WOULD DO! And I truly know he would not condone abortion.

Your God may not condone an abortion but what power does he place in you to judge those women who does - its Gods judgement (or your spiritual leader or whatever your faith be if any)

Its a tough decision for any woman to make people go on about this issue like every woman is so careless and free about the choice, like shes not kept in ansguish or she doesn't experience any pain or loss having to make such a decision...that such decisions are made only out of selfishiness - this is very rarely the case.

We need to understand and respect individual situations and there right to utilise this service.

I had my daughter when I was 'still a child myself'. I was raped and so didn't have the choice as to whether I got pregnant or not. If I could have had a choice then I wouldn't have had sex at that age.

Saying that I now have a beautiful little girl who I love dearly and wouldn't change that for the world. I would like to change the circumstances in which she was concived and born but I wouldn't change my daughter one bit.

I couldn't have brought myself to abort or 'kill' my own child - but that doesn't mean that other people shouldn't have the option. Females in the same situation as myself may not have the support or strength to go through with the birth - which is fine - why should they have to suffer again?

Don't get me wrong it wasn't easy. I used to see the face of my attacker in my daughter which gave me flashbacks of the attack. However I learnt to come to terms with what happened and have moved on. Yes one day I will have to tell my daughter who her 'Dad' is but when that day comes I will make sure she knows that I still love her regardless.

In short, evryone should have the right to a choice when it comes to abortion. I wouldn't but others may feel the need.

Why do you bring this up. Isn't there a rule against bumping.

i think abortion is murder the baby or fetus has a heartbeat therefore abortion is killing a living being.

I should have never gone there.. I'm already and that makes me want to puke even more.. BLAH! It's f***ing cruel and disgusting! The baby didn't even get the chance to expereince life:'(
