most over rated music artists in history

these are only my opinions, feel free to state yours

Ozzy Osbourne- After black sabbath, he went from the prince of darkness, to the prince of pop metal. In more than half of his songs, his vocals are very close to being unbearable. In his song crazy train, you can barely understand what hes talking about, "IM GOING AFTER RAILS ON THE CRAZY TRAIN!!!" his ballads were very numerous and very predictable....very boring. without randy rhoads, this man would of been nothing. without black sabbath, he surely would of been nothing.

Led Zeppelin- Named the kings of rock by many and for good reason. These guys have put on some of the best music ever to hit the air waves. But when i really think about it, they had at least 4 songs of filler on basically all of their albums which isnt good considering almost all their albums only had 8 songs. in their early days mr. plants lyrics rarely seemed to fit the music that was playing and always annoyed me. stairway to heaven in my opinion is their most over rated song. I'd rather listen to kashmir anyday

Aerosmith- Named by many as the all american band. I like Aerosmith but they are also very over rated. Dream on was a big hit but Mama Kin only had a good guitar riff with whacky vocals. Sweet Emotion is over rated in my opinion. Their ballads are over rated as well like Angel and What it takes. For the most part their music was very simple and hardly ingenious. My favorite by aersmith has always been Seasons of wither and most people have never even heard it. their most famous song wasnt even written by them, "dont wanna miss a thing"

Greenday- How can anyone prefer these guys to metallica, blue oyster cult, Led Zeppelin, Scorpions, Tesla, Nazareth, or Ac/dc. Their vocalist has never hit the same note twice in his life. i know because ive seen 2 of their concerts and have heard the cd. hes never once sounded the same.. i learned how to play all their songs within 2 months of playing guitar. i learn their bass lines in 30 seconds.

I think 50cent is overrated. He can't rap, he can't sing, he doesn't write his own lyrics and he doesn't make the music. He can't even rap in time. It's so annoying.

i just realized that hoobstank is a pretty damn solid band. they sound like they could of fit better with the mid 90's music scene along with collective soul

for a long time CREED was soo over-rated, as a Christian band too, but then more and more people started seeing through Scott Strapp's facade. Including his bandmates.

Greenday..oh my gosh i hate them with a passion! They are soooo overated!!! Everything in the tabloids is GREENDAY THIS..GREENDAY THAT! Its annoying!

Greenday is horribly over rated. Nirvana is also overrated. Their grunge gods, not rock gods. Still I love their music, but when their music is broken down, its horrible haha. But many bands are overr rated, now what are some bands that are under rateD? Personally I think Bob marley is a god, and most people hate him haha.

Tesla is severely under rated, easily better than aerosmith and play the same american style rock
