my writing always feels plain to me. i feel like i should be adding more to what i say. i feel like i need to make my poems deeper. Poetery to me has always been paintings of the heart when the heart can not just beat but it can pump. just pumping out emotions on to the paper. but when i write my poems i just cannot posses this. how can i make my pomes ryhme better and get mroe of a flow going on, that not only expresses just the flow but deepness. |

Hey, I only got a chance to read one of your poems *my computer is acting up and won't let me read much of anyones without signing me out... grr..* but anyway, it didn't look too bad. The only thing I can say to you is, well I've found that improving my vocabulary is putting a pinch of spice into my poems, I mean i don't know much yet, I'm still a simple speaker, but I've improved somewhat. As for flow, I'm a singer and music is my thing, so I sort of just pick that up - listening to music alot helps with that...Other than that, just count your syllables. Depending on the flow you want, there's different patterns to the number of syllables per line... Umm, if none of this is helping, I'm sorry. But the one last thing that should help, is reading other people's poems. Everyone on this site has taught me alot, just from their poems. It really works wonders just to compare works. Good luck! |
