i have glasses, and don't like them, but everyone else thinks i am more attractive with.

Well to me i dont care if peeps find me more or less attractive with glasses... cos im perty sure i look better with them... than with a smushed up nose cos i canne seee without them =)

well i currently wear contacts now, but they're brcoming a lot of a hassle and because of my dry eyes and astigmastism, one of my eyes i find is not always as clear as it should be, like it just keeps switching throughout the day, fake tears arent helping too much either and they've just become such a hassle and real expensive to buy and maintain and because we're not financially great at the moment I decided it'd be better for me to switch back to glasses. But i play hockey and it's a bad idea to play with glasses cos they dog up and you run into people, and I dont know if the fortnightly contacts have now can be worn only occasionaly up to the time limit i'm supposed to use them, eg. once a week for 14 weeks? I've been real upset about this whole thing, in a sense I know it's right decision for me but I dont want to leave behind my high self confidence and the way I look now which I know wearing glasses again would influence. This whole thing probably sounds superficial but it's been really hard for me. Some people might like looking intelligent and mature but I'm not too keen, becvause glasses change your outfit you know? They just don't look the same. I don't want to make my family keep paying fir contacts which have become really complicated for a while now too. It's got to a point where quite often i'm putting one hand over one eye and vice versa to see if both my eyes are clear, and when they're not it annoys the heck out of me. theyre NZD$144 every 3 months exlc solution and eyedrops etc...

Sounds like glasses would work for you. Glasses are not unattractive and any guys who thinks so is not worth your time. It actually does you a favor because it helps weed out the losers from the really get guys!

i wear glasses, and people think i'm pretty. i hope that doesn't sound concieted. i don't like my glasses, but mostly people think i look good in them, and they suit me.

I think you are very fortunate to think you are pretty, so many people are insecure about that.

I wear glasses but I wear contact lenses for special occasions. I didn't like them when I first got them but now I think that if someone doesn't like you based on your glasses then they are way too much of a material person and not worth it.

yeah i guess what needs to be done must be done. i'm having a hard time finding a pair of frames that i like, any color suggestions? Something subtle.

Don't you think that glasses influence you're outfits? Say something that would normally look quite slutty dosnt appear that way on a glasses wearing girl?

Oh and another thing, I have 2 left contacts remaining but 4 right contacts remaining..

I wear glasses to see the board at school. Frankly, I don't give a hoot if I look attractive or not- I'd rather be able to see than look great.

Don't you just hate it when that happens?! It's like...where did the other contacts go? I have come to the conclusion that gremlins like stealing the lenses for only one eye, some people get right contact lense stealing gremlins and others left.

I wear glasses, and i wouldnt say in was the most good looking person but they dont look that good, but the thing is, what is more important, Looks or personality, I bet that i have a nicer more charming personality than some blonde haired girl who walks around wearing short skirts and revealing tops on.

Hmmm been trying to convince my parents to let me wear contacts, they say contacts are bad to your eyes cuz the dust builds up... and you have to wash them a lot...
And then I talk to other people and they say that you don't have to wash them at all....

i'm from nz too!!! were taking over lol... i also have glasses too an i notice that i never get guys talking to me if i wear then... there not huge or anyfin jus thin lil FCUK ones and yea... maybe thats coz all my mates w big heads try them on and stretched them but yea... i def got more action without them

Truthfully I rather be able to see then look ggod. Although I don't think my glasses look that bad. I finally found a pair that I like after 8 yrs. (they have no frames). And I do get compliments when I wear my glasses. Like my best friend he told me that he thought I looked cutier with them on. I dunno, sometimes I wish I didn't have to wear them, but than I just get over it and sometimes I even forget I have them on. It's like no big deal either way to me as long as I can see.

Well, I think it has to do with the different tastes. Some may think your cute with glasses and some may think you don't. It's a thing of tastes.

Well, for me I HAVE to wear my glasses or I wont be able to see like 20cm in front of me properly LOL

If you are worried about it why not get contacts?
I have glasses & contacts, so does my daughter. I have to say though, I think we both look better with contacts. My daughter has the most beautiful green eyes & you can't see them when she wears her glasses. But my son actually looks better with his glasses. So I guess it just depends on the person & the glasses of course. I really like the ones with no frames.
