What is the meaning of life?!!!!!

Every day it seems as though i have the same routine. I wake up go to school, drink some coffee, work, sleep and on and on and on the same thing ever day. Iwonder why do i go to school or work I go to school to get a better job just so i can work some more its like all we do in life is work for more but get hardly any happiness in the end. If we end up with a good job all we do is make money and think about those good times when you had nothing. When your broke all u can think about is getting money and being happyWhat is the true meaning of life where do u really get that true happiness from?

well, to tell U the truth, I did think the same way as U. But I think my life is different than your, Im happy. even though I hated school, but I also love learning new things & hanging out with friends. I love my parents, even my sis. when U have good friends & good family, your way of thinking about life is different. cuz U have those peoples to cheer U up. ^_^

does life have to have a meaning or can it just be loads of random coincedences?

To find a life of meaning...

Yeah, I can see how that's hard to do when you're still in school. Life for me didn't really begin until Uni. It'll happen for you too. Just, uh, hang in there. Don't sweat the petty things, and don't pet the sweaty things. Count your blessings...um...I can see why this would be really hard though.

Seriously, no one can tell you what the meaning of life is. And would you really listen? I never did when I was younger. Probably should have, but, that's another story. But if you're depressed, why don't you try watching Monty Python's Meaning of Life? That should cheer you up. The tiger sketch alone...

There are tons of speculations the the meaning of life, it just depends on which you believe because none of us know b/c we are still in life. So live it the best you can and choose what you think makes since. I choose the religious life after death thing, but that's just me.

The meaning of life is that there is no meaning of life. If we spend all our lives looking for the meaning we will miss out on all the things life has to offer because we're too busy trying to see non-existent things, the things that exist and mean something disappear.

The meaning of life is different for each individual person, it can easily be transformed into a slightly easier question: Why Do I Keep Myself Alive? Or: Why Don't I Just Kill Myself.

Ok, so most people would say their families, friends, loved ones. Perhaps money, or a successful career. Look to the future - you go to school, to get a good job, to raise your children well, so that they can go to school and do the same in turn.

For some people, the reason they cannot die is because they have to support their dying families, they need to work for their sick son, and they need to work to pay off the money for their daughters funeral. Some people need to work for food, some people live to help others.

Ask yourself why you live. And if you have any reason to die, then think of not dying, but living to help those who need to live, those who don't have houses, family, those who have addictions or live in absolute poverty.

we live each day of our lives repeating the same routine, living for a supreme being who may or may not actually exist, then to die and either dissapear into infinity, in which case we won't care, or to find that every ounce of pain and suffering we experienced was allowed to happen and allowed to grow and corrupt us, in which case we will be royally p****d.

I don't think life is pointless but that the point in life is to discover its point. (I just don't think anyone actually does) Then when/if the point in life is discovered for all to know, there won't be a point anymore...

The amount of answers you'll get for this are endless. Everyone has different opinions.
I don't really know myself but I do have one theory.
I believe that the meaning of life is to make it yours. To make a story that's you, no one else's. To make mistakes, laugh like you mean it, cry yourself to sleep, get angry, yell, hurt someone, apoligize for doing wrongs, be a really good friend, bring a smile to someone's face when they most need it, to love with all your heart. I could go on forever. These are all examples. I think the point is to make a story that is yours, that defines you, to make a story that is worth telling. And then to tell it to someone..and by doing so to hopefully influence someone's life for the better.

But that's only my outlook on it.

^Love. It's the only thing I have found that has made me truly happy. By love I don't mean just form a person in a romantic way. Love from a friend and family member count too.

Who was it that said "The meaning of life is a life of meaning."? I can't remember the name, but I always kind of liked that. I guess the challenge is figuring out how you can make your life meaningful.
