Honestly, I have only ever been rejected once. And it was not that bad really. I asked some guy to dance, and he said no. Did not hurt at all.

I asked a guy out and he said I'll tell you tomorrow.

When he didn't talk to me again, my friend told me he started going out with his ex girlfriend.

there was this boy i liked this past school year and he knew how i felt but he never gave me a chance and i did ask him to prom but he said no..rejection hurts when it's all you've ever felt

I asked God to come down from heaven and explain himself.

    And nothing happened. That hurt.

Girls never say no to me...though sometimes they giggle and walk away....I take that as a compliment and move on to the next sucker.

    huh huh huh.

One time I walked up to this guy at a dance and started talking.
    He walked away.
I found it hilarious more than anything, actually.

Well this girl told me that she would give me answer after summer when band camp started. She said no and yelled at me saying why the hell would i go out with you it sorta hurt but got over it.

I've been rejected a few times (I'm terrible at keeping a secret), but the girls were always very nice about it, they all sort of hurt the same way I suppose.

    *edit*
    BTW, nice one Kevin

kevin you are hilarious!! ehh the only time i can think of that i was rejected was 8th grade. i had a huge crush on this guy, Jackson. One day, i approached him just to say hi and he said "get away from me! you are the most pathetic lifeform of the human race." i think i was more taken aback and stunned than actually hurt.

i have been rejected by LOTS of guys, but i think i have to be more secure with myself first, so it doesnt bother me.

"of all the things i fear, loving you is what i fear the most."

That is my favorite quote of all time... and sometimes it is true.

The guy I love, yes love, and who I had solid proof liked me a lot, turned me down.

Not only did he turn me down, he told me that I never had a chance and that he was sick of me being pathetic. He said he hated that I was always "woe is me" and he hated the fac that I was hung up on him....

    I still love him...

    He was right...

    lol. Rejection...

it hurts, but it's part of life. You can't get accepted without first being rejected.

Is that on topic Sean Allen?

  • Poetess Lana

    okay... sorry.

    lol umm..

rejection is a part of life, but like i said, i have to love myself before anybody else will love me.

I love the line in "Dumb and Dumber" where Jim Carrey's character is asking the female lead if she thinks there is any chance they could be together...and she says no, to which he replies

    "No chance like 1 in a 100?"

"More like 1 in a million, sorry"

He looks stricken for a second....and then he grins and rubs his hands together

    "So you're telling me there's a chance....yeah..I read you"

Nice, and my philosophy...rejection is only a chance to show stupid people the error of their ways...

    MAKE THEM LOVE YOU!!

  • Poetess Lana

lol but making people love you doesnt always work... sadly! i wish... id have that one guy in half a second! but for all the wrong reasons...

  • RetroRavey

I like your style mr. kevin...

but like ally said, doesn't always work.

  • Poetess Lana

and if you make somebody love you, they love you just because you are making them, and not because they want to. i want to be loved for me, because the person wants to love me, not because i am making them.

    yeah, but true.

    Rejection, hurts. Deal with it.

    There is no spoon.

  • Poetess Lana

    what????

  • Kevin

    There is no spoon.

It'a a line from the Matrix..something Neo says to himself to help him get past his limitations.

"Do not try to bend the spoon, for that is impossible, merely realize the truth, that there is no spoon."

    Whoa...

rejection>spoons is kinda a big jump huh?

it does suck, let us form a group to ban it!!!!

  • Tammie

i agree! all it does is puts down a persons self confidence, which some people lack a great deal. I hate it.

  • Poetess Lana

    so true Tammie.

Rejection sucks. Kill it with a pitchfork. and if people already dont have self confidence, that makes them feel worse.

    Alright,
This isnt really rejection, but its the worst break up I've ever had.

    Story:::
So, my ex bf is a football player. His team made it to states the year we dated. So, being the great gf that I am, traveled an hour and a half from home to surprise him at his champion ship football game. Well, I got there, the game had already started. So I sat in the bleachers until the game was over. THEY WON!! I was so stoked. after his coach gave them the traditional after game speech I walked over to him after that and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around and i went to give him a hug and he just brushed me off. I thought maybe he was angry because he didnt get all of his playing time. I was a lil pissed off, but just like me, he had his moods. I went home that night not feeling to well and went to sleep pretty early. About an hour after i layed down, the phone rang. I answered it and it was my boyfriends BEST FRIEND, he was calling to break the news that it was over.

So, not only did my boyfriend treat me like shit when i was there to support him, he also didnt even have the balls to tell me how he really felt on his own. Ive realized now, that I'm better off w.o him and plan to live it up being single.

Don't forget, rejection can suck, but most of the time, its for the better =)
