What makes a person an ass?

In your opinion what makes a person an ass?

Someone, who uses others. And well someone who never says thank you, and someone who meets my brother.

In the main the only requirement is ignorance, but there are contributing factors like, for example, obnoxiousness.

Most people generally think stupid people are arses, but that is not true. I think the wealthy pompous git type is much more of an arse than a racist unedgeamutated mullet wielding red-neck who don't do done knows no better.

well, I don't divide asses by any kind of class hierarchy. but mean-ness is a definite indicator.

Well, to me, an ass is a person that is either ignorant by choice and chooses to remain such, or is a person that has knowledge and chooses to exploit it.

an ass is someone with no respect for other people and is as says above, completely ignorant and refuses to accept what is right, and constantly goes on about how they are right. there is so much more, and so many people i can name...

Immaturity is also a factor, at least in my brother's case. Immaturity mixed with ignorance, vainity, and general meanness... To start off.
