im looking for a really good book to read, but I cnat find any, so yea if u could like post some books u've read that were good that would be nice..sowwie but i no likie the sci fi, books so dont post those..im into romance books so if u post one of those that would be nice..hehe thankies!

I agree that The Da Vinci Code would be a good book to read. Also you might want to look into The Notebook. I haven't read it myself yet but I plan on reading it soon, I hear it is really good.

The Notebook is an awesome book! My favorite!! I love all of Nicholas Spark's books! He is a fabulous writer!! A Walk to Remember is another superb one by him!!!!

Stranger in a Strange Land is a trip. I would suggest reading it if you are into reading and being interested and freaked out at the same time. If not, then the Da Vinci Code is a fun alternative. Ever read Ender's Game? That is a great book too.

Holly, you go girl!!! I was going to write Nicholas Sparks..he's my favorite author of the moment..can't wait for a new one to come out by him..and they ARE love stories..usually with a twist..great reading tho! :)

a REALLY great love story was "the pact" by jodi picoult. also "perfect match" by jodi picoult.. perfect match is about a mother's love for her son though. but the pact is really a GREAT book

the lost boy is about his escape, and his struggles thru life until he is finally free... and i havent goten around to reading a man named dave yet

by the way, my english teacher said that DAN BROWN, the author of THE DA VINCI CODE is getting charged of PLAGIARISM. they said there was a book called the da vinci something, (that's not the title) published 1980. they said that there was a mistake the author in the 1980 book made about da vinci's history. dan brown apparently made the same mistake in his book. that's their main 'bomb' of the case. and then there were other similar ideas in his book. i never heard of it in tv, though... i never read the book either but my friend says its good...

I'd have to recommend "A child called "it" by Dave Pelzer, its a disturbing story but it's something I think everyone should read at one point in there life-time. And of course, The Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King. Awesome.

Girl in the Mirror, By Alice Monroe... It is a book from the late nineties i believe and it is a wonderful story about a girl who is born with a slight diformity on her chin, or lack there of, decides to have surgery to get it fixed and become an actress. She falls in love and is to afraid to tell him about her past. If she doesnt tell him, there is a chance that she will loose her life. It is a romance book. Very good book!

The Earth, My Butt and Other Big Round Things by Carolyn Mackler. Its about a larger-than-average teen gurl Virginia Shreves and her life and the obstacles she has to face! Its awesome!!

I also like romance but a better one is horror/mystery. My favorite book is The Long Walk by Stephen King (possible by Richard Bauchman (pin name))

i agree, 'of mice and men' i loved that book. or 'enduring love' thats a great book, a bit of a thriller, a bit of love, a bit of science an a bit confusing for a while

myself, im really into science fiction, but i just finish a book today that was one of the best ive ever read that wasnt scifi or fantasy. its called Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech. such a good book, it has romance, drama, mystery, sadness, and happiness. beautiful story, made me cry at the end...

I don't like to read a lot so I can't help you out much, but there's a couple short stories you could read online that I found interesting:

The Jilting of Granny Weatherall---Don't mind the title... it's about a woman on her deathbed recalling being left at the alter (being jilted) but her ultimate jilt is a major suprise at the end. If you are rather religous, however, you'll be offended.

A Rose For Emily--- Really suspenseful and sort of horrifying if you fully grasp the concept of it.

Other than those: The Crucible is my all time favorite book/play. And Walk to Remember is wonderful although you've probably saw the movie.

i really like the story of the dog in the night time or w.e it is called when i read it. I am reading interview with the vampire (anne fine) at the moment and im really enjoying that.

If you like Egyt then your gonna love Hatshepsut:Child of the Morning. Its old but very detailed.
