I don't think so. A two year age difference is no big deal. Three though is to far. That said my dad would be (if he lived) 55-56 now and my mum is like 44. So yea... that's a little much.

When i had just turned 16, I dated a 14 year old. For the most part, the relationship wasn't too bad. So I dont necessarily see a problem with that. Now that I am older though, I do feel that it's better and easier to date someone a tad bit older. Just dont go any younger! Then that is really pushing it.

No, it isn't. But, I must admit, I did laugh when you said: "the kid I like is 14..".

So you're 19 and love a girl who is over 4 years younger than you are. I can't imagine that. Especially when, I am 20 and my brother is 14. I could never imagine being in love with anyone of his age. It seems so.... young.

Ok so maybe thats a 6 year difference. But I don't think I could date a 16 year old either. I mean, just wow.

  • Noir

It doesn't Lynsey, but fact is it is just a failed ploy in changing the subject...

You try to probe him, and he knows there is no way in answering it without looking like someone in the wrong, so what does he do, he changes the subject...

    How sad! Yet Funny too...

    Haha.

    Ok.

Well to answer the original question. Love, or liking, is not determined by age. People with a ten year difference marry. Several people a year older have liked me. Even one of these people have liked another two years younger. They went out for a summer, and are still pretty close friends.

"People with a ten year difference marry."

And these marriages have never had problems to deal with, having the ma-hoosive age gap as a factor to blame? Of course, love does not see age; but always take into account that marrying someone that older or that younger, will cause inevitable problems no matter WHAT you say, HOW much love there is and WHO you are.

I don't know about that. i mean round here. there are many people who have married with a huge age gap like that. the only problem there has been was one dieing a few to many years early.and that is life. not a human problem

I don't think that its wrong, just be careful about the age difference. if your two years older, make sure that you don't pressure whoever it is that you like into something that YOU wouldn't have done at that age. my boyfriend is a little under two years older than me, so I don't think thats really a bad thing, just be careful
