Grace

How do u say grace? i forgot and i feel really stupid asking anyone.

In my family my dad say's it. Then At the end we all say Amen In Monotone.

"God Is Grace God Is Good And We Thank Him For This Food Amen"

I put food on the plate. Sit down. And then ravenously shovel the food in my mouth. But hey, I am atheist so I don't do the whole grace thing.

I think the best way to say it, is in a non dinominational way.

So whenever I say grace, which given my pagan/satanic root and social group, is rarely, I say this.

"We give thanks for this food we are about to eat, and those who we are about to share it with. And we ask that the energy we gain from eating it be put to some good use"

then you punch the person next to you in th face and grab all the roast potatoes!!!! H AH HA HAH

My boyfriend's family does that but mine does not. The two times I had lunch/dinner with them I just stayed silent and held hands with them because I'm guessing they know I've never said it before.

"Bless us oh Lord for these thine gifts which we are about to recieve. And uh... ye Lord, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of no food, I shall fear no hunger. We want you to give us our day of daily bread. And to the republic for which it stands... by the powers vested in me, I pronounce us ready to eat. Amen." -Guess the movie!

Or 'rub a dub dub, thanks for the grub.'

In monty python they say grace like this:

"o lord, you are so big, so absolutely HUGE, and well lord we're really impressed down here i can tell you...."

but seriously, just say what's on your mind. thank the lord, thank the cookers of the food and the financial providers, everything else is just window dressing
