Finding love in this lonely world
Was like finding a needle in a haystack
Discovering a diamond in the sand
Nailing jelly to a tree
Impossible...
Or so it seemed...

Something that just wasn't worth the effort
The countless disappointments
The tears...
The hurt...
Weighing down the fragile heart
When something that felt like love
Turned out to be a sham
A red herring

Love was something that was only found in the movies
In books
In the imagination...
A sort of pipe dream

But even pipe dreams can become a reality
Love can find you when you least expect it
When you cease looking
It springs out of nowhere
Like a long lost friend
A best friend
A lover

You find that needle in the haystack
And when you do, you realise it's something special
The real thing
Something worth waiting for

I found my diamond in the sand

Angel

And as I look into the skies,
I see an angel in disguise,
She looked straight at me
With those beautiful eyes.
Just by that split second,
She removed my demise,
Gave me hope to realize
That there's still a meaning
For the life I fantasize...

And as she looked
At me deep inside,
She saw a name printed,
There are letters that collide.
It forms a word that will,
Always be by my side
I'll protect it with,
All of my might
Even if it costs my life...

And as she looked
Into my mind,
She saw an image
That can't be unbind.
It's as if my mind,
Is always on a rewind,
There's no other image
She'll ever find...

And as she touched
My hand & pull me near,
I confessed my love

The world became so clear,
And as I put her hand
On my chest --

Their Lesbian Love Song

Their love does not know gender,
Religion, age, or race.
Their love knows opportunity,
Motive, time, and place.

Ember was a loner,
A General Unknown.
A potential Cinderella,
The trait that wasn't shown.

Harlem was an outcast,
Your average rebel teen.
Not exactly popular,
But never envy green.

They all avoided Ember
Who ignored them in return.
But her longing for belonging
Just made her stomach churn.

They idolized dear Harlem,
But secretly, of course,
Never to admit
Rebellion's tempting force.

Ember was a freshman,
Harlem's second junior year,
Em's life planned to the minute,
As Harlem played by ear.

Both of them were broken,
For Em it was the lies,
For Harlem it was Daddy and
Abusive, cheating guys.

Ember's first encounter,
Her first time girl-on-girl,
Happened in the second grade
And changed her whole damn world.

Harlem never tried it,
But it wasnâ??t out of range.
Since boys were never pleasing,
It was time to make a change.

Harlem first saw Ember
As she ate alone at lunch.
Harlem pegged her lesbian,
But thought, "It's just a hunch."

Then Ember noticed Harlem,
And bore the shiest smile.
Harlem felt a sudden warmth
She had not felt in quite a while.

Harlem shuffled over,
And offered out her hand:
"I'm Harlem, Harley, are you new?"
Ember took a stand.

"I'm Ember, short for Emberly,
And yes, I'm pretty new.
I should still be in 8th but
I'm a freshman. What are you?"

"I'm a junior for the second time,
Smart, but just don't care.
I'd rather just be living life,
Writing books somewhere."

"Wait! You're Harlem Peterson?
The poet from the news?
The girl who wrote the anecdote
Called 'Hands Inside My Shoes'?"

Harlem laughed and then replied,
"That's me, I must confess,
And while that story's popular,
My poems are my best."

"Oh. All I write are rhythms,
For drums and for guitar.
The words donâ??t match the rhythm, but,
Emotion's never far."

With a silent small suggestion,
They smiled and they beamed,
Musician meets the lyricist,
Simply meant to be.

They exchanged their seven digits,
Texted, talked for days,
In a week they saw each other
In two distinctive ways.

Harlem thought of friendship,
But somehow wanted more.
Confusion struck her deeply,
Wonders made her sore.

Ember dreamed of "Girlfriends,"
But a little scared to ask.
For turning straight girls lesbian,
It's not a simple task.

A mere week or two later,
Looking in the other's eye,
They impulsively embraced,
And shared a kiss goodbye.

The impulse was a blessing,
And neither could deny,
As they continued kissing,
It felt nothing shy of right.

It turned a major lip-lock,
But started just a peck.
Harlem thought about reactions,
'Till Ember kissed her neck.

Ember leaned in closer,
And spoke in Harlem's ear,
"I know that this is new to you,
But baby, do not fear."

Harlem took her hand and
Placed it on dear Ember's neck.
She pulled her face in closer,
Her heart a nervous wreck.

They kissed again with passion,
Love, not teenage lust.
And though some say they broke the rules,
They knew their motive's just.

Students stopped and stared in awe,
The girls continued on.
For neither one had felt this right
On oh so very long.

Finally they broke away,
And Ember shyly grinned.
Harlem looked in Ember's eyes,
Not wanting this to end.

They hugged goodbye and strode away,
Their heads held proud and tall.
And for once, neither cared about
The whispers in the hall.

Their love does not know gender,

Their love nows oppotunity,
Perfection, motive, grace.

A little long.. but not as extensive as the one above. :)

The broken locks were an opening,

Beautiful Sunday

Blue skies watch as we lay below the trees
The grass so cool beneath you and me

A shimmering glint of sunlight swims through your eyes
I couldn't help but stare into them as the day passed us by

Your skin, sun kissed and dampened from the afternoon heat
Left my lips feeling tender and my soul oh so sweet

The tickle of your breath was enough to make me melt
It was the most beautiful sensation I have ever felt

That moment in time as our two souls became one
Was when my soul praised God for what He had done

And all these things I write because in fear, to you I cannot say
But I promise, my love, never to forget that one beautiful Sunday

Toxic Melody

Drift throughout the atmosphere toxic melody will arise,
As firefly's flicker entwined with blue beaded butterfly's,
Stars shall crumble to dust as wind blows through air,
Casting a light rain over meadows swaying in distance.

"Kiss me" She whispers grasping his hand within hers,
As practicals of what once was float from starless night,
Rose petals travel within breeze, jewels of his affection,
As silhouettes of a lullaby deteriorate through the mist.

Droplets evaporate as sunrise forms before glowing eyes,
"Morning comes round too quick" He hushes to her ear,
Rainbows become faded within the view of cloudless sky,
As toxic melody wisps a scent of Daisy's over grass fields.

Not sure if you'd class this as happy love but to me it still is. Upto you in the end barbie judge lol.

I'd Walk On Broken Glass To Be With You

I'd move earth to hold you in a sweet embrace...

My heart strings play a melody like elegant cords to violin,
It's sweet I shall admit, Though sorrow does play within tune,
I miss you like the scent of summer distant while in winter,
Yet I yearn for you in opposite all the way throughout June.

I'd stop lightening to view the glow in your eyes...

My bones hold an ache such as one from a seasonal cold,
The chill up an old spine gets deeper with your very thought,
The only warmth I've come to feel is the one from burning fire,
Yet even that feels dim, Within snow my body becomes caught.

I'd battle thunder to hear the beauty of your voice...

Autumns leave drift calmly, What beauty orange seems to be,
Entwined with brown from your eye color how I hold on dearly,
"Come back to me" I'll whisper into a breeze of our memory's,
Though I know you'll be home soon, know I love you sincerely.

I'd walk through fire to kiss those lips once again...

....And I know you'd do the same for me..

Everything starts with a falling star.

"There, there is a shooting star! "
While he is shouting adrenaline is rushing through his heart.
"Where, where is the shooting star?"
Girl asking, with excitement glancing from her eyes.

"Oh, there! I see it! There it is!"
With happy voice at the boy she looked
And he covered softly her eyes with hands palms
"Now make a wish!" gently he said, smiling with his heart on summer blaze.

She cutely giggles and holds her eyes closed tight
He smiles looking at her not letting her out of sight.
And bending down, he softly kisses her cheek.
Both of them softly blushing, feeling heath inside.

Girl with her big blue eyes looking at the boy,
"What was that?" asking in a shivering voice.
"A kiss" answers boy and looks shyly down.
For a moment, they both are making no sound.

Her sweetie rose blush
And she leans over to her crush,
Touching softly his lips with hers,
"A kiss" she says and at each other they stare.

And they smile to tears,
Shaking from the fear.
And they smile,
Forever, and every single moment, till the day they die.
