SLEEP:

by Scott Cole   Jul 23, 2015

What a peaceful state of mind
So let me rest my weary soul,
For its that time once again
To stretch out as we're told.

I'm in my unconscious mode
Don't you see that it's true,
I wish that I could show you
But I don't think that I can move.

I sometimes can hear you so
But I'm unable to see a thing,
I can only move my muscles
When I'm in one of my dreams.

So I might just toss and turn
Then you will know what's up,
But don't you dare wake me
Unless you think I've had enough.

I'm charging up my batteries
A fresher start I desperately need,
And when the morning time comes
I'll be a brand new man indeed.

Oh sunlight in the day time
Let me say hello to you,
I hope your night was sound
And you slept straight through.

For its a big part of our lives
To get this very important rest,
So when you do come around
You'll be at your very best.
