To be awake one day and be

by Everlasting   Feb 25, 2015

To awake one day and be
Like a corpse walking in empty streets,
To stop,
And then, walk again in empty streets,
It would be
Like a day after the apocalypse,
Yet today, I feel
like I'm dying slowly each day...
This recurring pain in my chest,
It feels like a blazing fire scorches my ribs,
And I can't breath...

It's the smoke in the world,
It makes me cough...
Till I fall down to my sleep

---

Today, I look outside my window
And there's a peach tree,
Its few leaves rustle with autumns winds,
And roses,
They haven't bloom in many weeks,
It's just the rosemary in the garage,
and the tulips that are in bloom,
Safe from cold winds,
Yet my eyes never cease to be amaze,
the sun is out,
Gray is the sky
But the sun managed to come out
Just like this pain in my chest
And the smoke that I breathed yesterday
From that lady at the supermarket
It also comes out

When i exhale...

---

What happened to our fresh air?

---

There were trees everywhere.
Almost like a forest
Inhabited by deers,
I used to watched them on my way to the grocery store,
But now, there are parking lots
And more stores
And less trees
And less deers
And the parking lot,
What I breathe is smoke

Is it tabacco or did we set on fire all our trees?

Something to ponder about: is it possible to exhale the smoke you breathe one day before on the next day? Or was the smoke that I exhale, caused by just the coldness and my warmth.. :P
