I Walk Alone

by Kitten   Mar 5, 2008

I walk alone on this cold winter night
My heart turned to a sheet of ice
No love to melt away my sorrows
Hoping there'll be no tomorrow
I walk alone

I walk alone on this disheartening path
As the demons try their toxic wrath
They fill my mind with images of the dead
And other things that go unsaid
I walk alone

I walk alone in the blinding dark
Where no angels dare to hark
Stumbling through uncertainties
Not sure where this path might lead
I walk alone

I walk alone on this empty land
Where no one else can understand
The darkness to which I am bound
I struggle on without a sound
I walk alone

Wow first poem i've given a 5 in a while, you did a great job, the rhythm is good, has a pattern, and adding "i walk alone" after every stanza makes it hit harder
