Forgotten Soldiers

by Wolf Haines   Aug 10, 2008

Neither forget who they were,
Or what they stood for,
As with death comes peace.
Mourn not for how they died,
But what they died for,
Now that they lay in sleep.

Never forget the gallantry of those men,
Who paid the ultimate price.
For peace of land,
For peace of mind,
To end all future fights

Evil could not sway their courage,
Crush their bravery,
Or destroy their faith in good,
These men fought for what they believed in,
Played their part well.
How many of us alive now, would?

Never forget the gallantry of those men,
Who paid the ultimate price.
For peace of land,
For peace of mind,
To end the worlds fright.

Side by side they held strong,
Against the hardship of war.
Spirits aloft, guns in hand.
Forward they went,
Never to return,
To their grateful homeland.

Never forget the gallantry of those men,
Who paid the ultimate price.
For peace of land,
For peace of mind,
To keep the future bright.

Never forget the gallantry of those men,
Who paid the ultimate price.
For peace of now,
For peace of times to come,
Never forget their life.
