In the Holy Night

by Mister 47   Dec 11, 2008

May this day be blessed by thee
The one who live inside of me
The one that gave me life from the womb
Till the day I rest in my tomb

I look at you my lord and cry
In this day I feel so shy
What have I done, in shame I hide
And in a dark corner I reside

How can this eye dare to look your way?
What do I have to give you today?
My sins? My black heart? My dirty hands?
I am fading away like water in the sands

I wonder if I can stay at your place
Me the one that fallen from grace
How many silvers I have got
I thought I wined, but I have not

In this day the child is born
The rightful king to the rightful throne
Behold humanity, the silent lamb
That we kill every day with our scams

How many poor we have seen
And helped and be less mean
Was our heart pure enough?
Was it kind, and not hard and rough?

Christ, every year we say and pray
And we forget you, right away
When will we open our eyes?
And look up to the angel of the skies

And hope to have eyes that see
And ears that hear what you say to me
I wish I can kiss where you trod
I humbly ask forgiveness, My dear God
